3M Belt 90mm-5100mm, 3mm Pitch, 6/9/12/15mm CR, ISO 13050 Timing Belt Supplier

HTD 3M synchronous belt with 3.00 mm pitch — the smallest HTD profile, engineered for micro drives, medical devices, robotics and compact automation. Our 3M timing belts comply with the ISO 13050 international standard for metric-pitch curvilinear (HTD) profile belts and pulleys. This guarantees tight dimensional tolerances and full interchangeability with equivalent-profile 3 mm curvilinear timing belts supplied by other mainstream international manufacturers, so they can be used as a direct drop-in replacement.

What Is a 3M Belt

The 3M Belt is the 3.00 mm pitch member of the HTD (High Torque Drive) curvilinear synchronous belt family. It transmits power by tooth engagement with the pulley, so there is no slip, no speed drift and no need for lubrication.

With its ultra-compact 3 mm tooth spacing, 3M is the go-to choice for micro drives where space is at a premium. Transmission efficiency reaches 98% or more, the speed ratio extends to 1:10, and the allowed line speed reaches 45 m/s.

Materials & Construction

LAYER 01 Tensile MemberImported high-strength glass fiber cord. Very low elongation, stable pitch length under load.
LAYER 02 Body CompoundImported synthetic chloroprene rubber (CR), blended with hydrogenated nitrile and additives. Heat, cold, oil, water and chemical resistance.
LAYER 03 Tooth FacingSpecially treated Nylon 66 elastic fabric. Low friction, high wear resistance, protects the curvilinear tooth form.

Why Choose 3M HTD

Zero Slip

Tooth meshing keeps constant speed ratio under varying loads.

Ultra-Compact

3 mm pitch enables extremely small pulley diameters for tight spaces.

High Speed Capable

Allows line speeds up to 45 m/s — the highest in the HTD mini range.

Maintenance-Free

No lubrication, no contamination, minimal upkeep.

98%+ Efficiency

Almost no power lost to slip or creep.

Quiet & Smooth

Curvilinear teeth reduce meshing noise vs. trapezoidal profiles.

Chemical Resistance

CR body resists oil, water, acids and alkalis in normal service.

Long Service Life

Excellent dynamic flex, ozone, aging and wear resistance.

Applications

Medical devices: infusion pumps, diagnostic equipment, surgical robots.
Robotics: micro joints, grippers, compact actuator drives.
Office equipment: printers, scanners, copiers, label makers.
Consumer electronics: camera lenses, smart home devices, small appliances.
Automation: miniature conveyors, pick-and-place modules, micro linear stages.
eplacement drives: direct swap on existing HTD 3M pulley systems.

How to Select Width & Length

On a 3M drive, width sets the load capacity. Pick the narrowest width that handles peak torque, then match pitch length to your center distance.

6 mm – office equipment, small robotics
9 mm – medical devices, compact automation
12 mm – light industrial mini-drives
15 mm – heavier micro-industrial applications

All 3M timing belts are manufactured to the ISO 13050 standard for synchronous belt drives (3M profile), ensuring full dimensional interchangeability with equivalent-profile 3M belts from other mainstream international manufacturers.

Installation & Care

Inspect on receipt: surface clean, belt not twisted, teeth full and well formed.
Never bend or crimp — this damages the glass fiber tensile member.
Avoid scratches and chemicals; keep away from strong oxidising acids; limit long oil/water contact.
Release tension before removal. Never pry the belt off under high tension with improvised tools.
Check pulley alignment: pulleys must be parallel and coplanar.
Tension just enough to prevent tooth jump at maximum load.
Keep the drive clean; replace at first sign of tooth wear, cracking or cord exposure.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does 3M mean in a timing belt?

3M is the HTD profile with a 3.00 mm tooth pitch. In a code such as 300-3M-9, 300 is the pitch length in mm and 9 is the width in mm.

Is 3M the same as S3M?

No. Both use a 3 mm pitch, but 3M is HTD curvilinear and S3M is STS/Super Torque Drive with a flatter tooth top. They need different pulleys and are not interchangeable.

What line speed can a 3M belt handle?

According to the material data, 3M belts allow a line speed up to 45 m/s, with transmission efficiency of 98% or more.

What temperature can 3M belts handle?

Standard chloroprene construction works from -30 °C to +90 °C.

Which widths are available for 3M belts?

Common widths are 6, 9, 12 and 15 mm. Other widths can be supplied on request.

Can I use a 3M belt on any 3 mm pulley?

Only on HTD 3M pulleys. S3M and other 3 mm profiles have different tooth geometry.

Do you list individual 3M model numbers on the page?

No. All pitch lengths and widths are offered through the product options and trading variations. This page describes the 3M belt type, not a model list.
